a holistic approach
Shortening lease lengths in the commercial office sector indicate that flexibility in design and circular design principles are becoming more critical to waste reduction and that the full life cycle carbon impact must be considered.
Anew avoid stylistic trends and put particular emphasis on the durability and longevity of products. Classic designs, with lasting functionality and timeless aesthetic keep them up to date and in active use for decades. These products are more likely to retain their value on the secondary market, changing owners and reducing its overall lifetime imprint on the environment.

We aim to select furnishings whose addition brings added value and enrichment to human living and working environments. The idea is to leave the smallest possible ecological footprint, anticipate scenarios at the end of the products life span and promote healthy and sustainable working conditions.

sustainable considerations
Our job is to make your time in our space as stress-free, happy, healthy and productive as possible.
01
Designed for circularity
Designing-out waste and designing-in reuse. We ensure products and materials are kept in circulation through maintenance, reuse, refurbishment, remanufacture and recycling.
We will look to encourage the specification of demountable walls that don't end up in landfill but can be used again and again. We will actively promote products with removable covers for the ability to clean if soiled or freshen up with a new fabric in the future. Even joinery can be designed for disassembly.
03
Certifications
Business can help society in its goals to alleviate poverty, preserve ecosystems, and build strong communities.
We strive for transparency and accountability via EPDs and LCAs. Businesses with BCorp status build communities and not just profits. We say 'no' to greenwashing, if someone is going to use ‘sustainable’ in any way to describe what they’re selling to you the onus should be on them to prove it.
02
Manufacture
Healthy air, healthy materials and healthy supply chains.
We will seek transparency from our manufacturers for proof of locally sourced materials, FSC/PEFC timber, natural fillings, low VOCs and reduced off gassing, manufactured locally, using green energy.
Every project has an opportunity to introduce remanufactured products that are kinder to the planet. We partner with local businesses that specialise in bringing furniture back to life.
04
Innovative Materials
We throw as much as 300 tonnes of office furniture in to landfill every day in the UK. With this in mind, we are always on the look out for innovative ways to use existing materials, diverting waste from landfill. Even organic materials such as hemp and wool can be used to make interesting, tactile furniture.
